Valerie Mary Duthie (nee Lord) was born Jat Partington Convalescent Home, North Road,
Glossop, Derbyshire, daughter of Herbert Vernon Lord Marjorie Lord (nee Smith).
Her parents were living at "Meadow Bank" in Glossop at the time. She was married (26 August 1961) and to Charles ('Chic') Duthie (a policeman, Detective, Warden of Stirling Castle). They divorced in 1994. Their children are Tara Jane Duthie who is unmarried and living in Edinburgh, and, Kirstine Mary Boudet (nee Duthie) married to Thierry Boudet and live in St. Etenne, France. They have two children: Alba Valerie Isabelle and Glen Henry Chic Boudet. Valerie is a retired nurse currently living in Sterling, Scotland.
