Thomas Arnold Smith, "Uncle Arnie", "Bud", was born in Liverpool, UK.

Arnie attended Rockferry High School and the Liverpool School of Arts.

Arnie was married to Elizabeth Mary "Betty" Smith (nee Wood).

Their children are John Barry Smith and Rosalie Smith (now Howarth).

Arnie passed away in December of 2010
